Rizzy King of Harmony

Launching his career in 2007, Rizzy, King of Harmony first appeared in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area with songs such as Te Buscare, Son Feka, and Quiero Amarte, placing him on the map with renown underground Latin artists. Releasing three mix tapes with DJ Cabezon within five months Rizzy continues to produce, write, and sing as he releases a fresh and steady stream of music regularly.

Emerging as one of the unquestionable talents in the DMV* movement, Rizzy is known as “the fastest song writer in the community”. He is not only a song writer, singer, and co-producer; he’s a lyricist producing feel-good music that spans through the beats from Rhythm and Blues, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and World.

Creating music that commemorates true meaning and passion, this talented song stylist is in a different league altogether. Working with DJ Cabezon and Producer Teddy Gramz, Rizzy is launching powerful tracks on the airwaves and has been featured in promotional sites for Latin artists.

Named as the King of Harmony, Rizzy has gained respect from other artists, producers, and promotion teams with his charismatic persona and his versatility as a vocalist and writer. Rizzy brings real Caribbean flavor to the Latin genre with unique melodies that everyone can relate to. Born and raised on the streets of Los Mameyez, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, his passion for creating music for the people was ignited at a young age by the carnival culture of the Caribbean.

After purchasing equipment and completing self-recorded tracks on his own, Rizzy began to gain recognition in the music world with his first demo album. Songs such as Que Sera, Ya No Quiero Ser un Gangsta, De Ti, and Estoy Cansado continue to gain popularity as he endeavors to showcase his energetic performance at shows locally and throughout the East Coast USA.

Developing as a professional musician and entertainer, Rizzy has performed in shows such as “Mata de Mango Petronila” in Los Mameyez, Santo Domingo; made appearances at venues such as MTV Tres and open-mic nights; and continues to perform in local nightclubs and large festival events. Focusing on continual progress as an artist, Rizzy looks to mentor-artists and influences such as Mexicano, Bob Marley, and Rizzy’s father, Ramon Larancuent II, for inspiration.

While Rizzy's popularity is increasing all over the DMV, he volunteers at the DC Latin American Youth Center providing leadership and instruction to students by teaching them voice and performance development, composition, live recording in the studio, and providing students an introduction to recording systems. With this combined experience in outreach planning, volunteering services, presentations and workshops for local artists, along with regular live performances, Rizzy has just begun to make his unique, stimulating and creative mark in the Latin genre all over the nation and across the seas.
